Date: Wednesday, October 21, 2015

Time: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Location: Murray City Offices (City Council Chambers)

5025 South State Street, Murray, Utah

Speaker: Joe Wood, JAWS MCI, LLC & Kris Aubrey, BMA Banking Systems

Topic: Upgrading to V7R2

Considering an upgrade to IBM i 7.2 ?  You should.  It was released 15 months ago and general IBM support for 6.1 has ended on 09/30 of this year.  Joe Wood will present a local user’s full upgrade experience.  Those who attend the presentation will receive the “Checklist” used along with short cuts, tips, and how to avoid pitfalls.  This 7.2 upgrade experience is a Non-HMC environment and we chose to go “disc-less” (NO CD/DVD’s were used).  Learn how to get the software, PTF strategies, and how to use image catalogs to speed your upgrade process.  Not only can this apply for a single local Power System, but has great use for a remote Power Servers or LPAR.  Learn where your business partner can and cannot help you.  We’ll share timelines, screen shots, and answer questions as time permits.
