Utah IBM i Programmers Association History
On May 7, 1985 the first meeting of the Greater Salt Lake Area System/38 User Group was held in the conference room on the 22nd floor of Intermountain Health Care in Salt Lake City, Utah. This meeting was organized by Jerry McMillan, who was then working for Price Waterhouse. The main business of that first meeting was to organize the user group and elect officers. Elections were held and the first officers consisted of:
Jerry McMillan (Price Waterhouse) President
Larry Isaksen (IHC Hospitals, Inc.) Vice President
David Larsen (Six State Dist.) Secretary
Lee Horne (I.C.C.C.) Treasurer
The annual membership dues were $35 per company.

The Utah IBM i Programmers Association (UIIPA)
In its present form, The Utah IBM i Programmers Association (UIIPA) is the result of the efforts of many people. Since its humble beginnings, over 30 years ago, the group has faithfully met each month. The user group continues its mission to provide IBM Midrange-related information, facilitate contact and camaraderie among its members, and promote the IBM Midrange platform, whatever it happens to be named at the time!
Historical Timeline of the Utah IBM i Programmers Association
